On June 18th Metinvest, the largest mining and metals company of Ukraine, gave a ceremonial reception for representatives of Ukrainian and international business. The event dedicated to the 5th Anniversary of the company convened the heads of several investment companies and banks, suppliers, clients and partners of Metinvest, representatives of international organizations, as well government officials and regional authorities.
The major purpose of the meeting was to strengthen personal and partnership relationships with the international business and to present company’s vision and strategy for further development.
Mr Rinat Akhmetov, the President of SCM company, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He stated: “We have an ambitious goal – we want the salaries at Metinvest’s plants to be the highest in the world! But in order to achieve that we must win the world cup in cost efficiency, the world cup in quality of products, and the world cup in sales. This is what we trust in and what we all aspire to, as we strongly believe that both Ukraine and each and every Ukrainian will benefit from Metinvest' success”.
Mr Vadim Novinskiy, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Smart-Holding, in his speech addressed the professionalism of the team of Metinvest and thanked all Metinvest's employees.
Speaking about the plans of Metinvest, its CEO, Igor Syry, stressed: «Today we produce 15M tonnes of crude steel a year. But in several years we are going to double our steel output. We will conduct a full-scale modernisation of our production facilities. We will attain leadership in production efficiency and product quality. We will introduce cutting-edge production technologies and become a leader in health and environmental safety at our plants.»
