PUBLIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY "AZOVSTAL IRON & STEEL WORKS" (Metinvest Group) allocated nearly 600 thous. UAH to Mariupol educational institutions. The enterprise allocated nearly 400 thous. UAH to Mariupol mechanical and metallurgical college of Priazovsky State Technical University (PSTU). The enterprise allocated 200 thous. UAH to schools No.14 and No.40 for preparation to new school year within the framework of the educational project "School- University-Enterprise".
Mariupol mechanical and metallurgical college of PSTU is the old partner of the enterprise and one of the main educational institutions on personnel training for the enterprise. The first stage of educational project "School-University-Enterprise" is being implemented on the basis of schools No.14 and No.40. The project is mainly aimed at the training of highly qualified specialists who are able to work at modern enterprises, creation of future talent pool of the enterprise.
Funds allocated to the mechanical and metallurgical college are intended for repairs of college building roof. Complete replacement of water-supply facilities, repairs of canteen building and face building have been carried out at school No.14 as well as readiness of institution for heating season has been ensured. The work on repairs of gym roof is being performed at specialized school No.40; renewal of material and technical basis and purchase of interactive whiteboard are planned.
Part of the funds allocated by the enterprise is focused on extra payment for teachers who give additional lessons in "Azovstal" classes. Currently three "Azovstal" classes are formed at school No.14, two classes are formed at school No.40. Starting from the 1st of September 128 schoolchildren will study in these classes.
