Metinvest Group will channel over UAH 18 million this year to refurbish canteens, sanitary and amenity premises, and administrative buildings at Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol (MMKI) and Azovstal. This is by 38% more than last year, when Mariupol enterprises refurbished 31 object for a sum of UAH 13 million under Workers’ Amenities program.
Year-to-date, washhouses and change-rooms were improved pursuant to the best standard at the sinter plant, 1700 mill, cold rolling shop and limekiln shop at MMKI, and the large sections mill at Azovstal. Total area of the refurbished premises is over 1500 square meters.
Reinforced-plastic doors and windows were installed, along with new shower rooms, wardrobes, bathroom-and-lavatory equipment was replaced, and tiles were cladded on walls and floors. In total, workers’ amenities improved for 800 employees of the plants.
