Azovstal Iron and Steel Works of Metinvest Group purchased three new devices with the value of UAH 457,000 for its central chemical laboratory. These devices will be used to control the quality of fuels and lubricants, define their physical and chemical properties for safe operation of equipment and personnel in the shops.
The new devices help significantly expand the range of assessed parameters and improve the control of quality and properties of oil used for equipment maintenance and repair.
For example, the Kaplya-20 device is designed to measure temperature at which lubricants start flowing and lose their properties, thus requiring urgent replacement.
The TVZ-LAB-12 device analyses oils with a low flash point such as transformation oil and diesel fuel. The readings make it possible to use and store substances in a proper manner.
The TVP-2a thermostat helps measure an oil kinematic viscosity index that is required for oil selection and efficient equipment operation at various temperature.
Enver Tskitishvili, general director of Azovstal,
